Moody’s: councils’ capacity under ‘extreme stress’ but financial impact low

Credit ratings agency Moody’s has said that UK local authorities’ operational capacity is under extreme stress as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, but it expects the overall financial impact to be low because of central government support.
