July 2018 Special Report Preview: Association stock dispersal sees little change in five years

Valuers now predict major increase in trades

Housing associations’ stock dispersal has remained flat over the past five years, according to an exclusive report by Social Housing.

 

Figures show that a total of 171 associations own general needs stock over an average of 20 local authorities, and have an average number of 582 general needs units per local authority area.

 

This marks only a slight change from 2013/14, when 176 associations had an average of 532 units and stock in an average of 19 local authority areas. Housing associations’ stock dispersal has remained flat over the past five years, according to an exclusive report by Social Housing...
