Councils not guaranteed ringfenced funding from government to reach net zero targets

Ministers including representatives from the new-look Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) declined to commit to providing additional funds for local authorities’ transition towards net zero targets, during questioning by a select committee.
